Little Getaway

Spencer was on call this year for Valentines Day so we decided that we would celebrate another weekend. Spencer surprised me with a gift card to the Marriott for Valentines day so that we would have to celebrate later. It  seems like whenever we say we will do something later it never happens so that was a nice little surprise. We decided to stay close since it was just going to be two days. We went along the coast to Monterey, Carmel and Half Moon Bay. It was such a fun getaway. I am embarrassed to say this but this is only the second time Spencer and I have gone away kidless since we had Kelan. It was very nice and we will have to do it more often since the boys had so much fun with Grandma Nani.

Monterey
We stopped in Monterey first and walked along Cannery Row, went to Monterey Bay Aquarium and ate some yummy food.

There were so many fun things to take pictures of at the Aquarium. Love the Sea horses.
                  P. S. The Jelly fish swim upside down? Finding Nemo is wrong. You can't bounce on the tops of these things.
  Touchy touch.
This Seagull would not leave us alone. It was making me a little nervous. I was afraid it was going to attack me for my food.
Cute at first but now you're a little creepy.

Carmel
We drove along the 17 mile drive which takes you through the beautiful mountains, right along the coast and past the famous Pebble Beach golf course.
 The views were amazing.
It was so nice to do the drive without kids. I will have to say it may not have been as enjoyable with kids... especially ours. There definitely would have been throwing up in the back.
Beautiful
You literally drive  right by the green.
I will have to say that Carmel was definitely our favorite beach town we visited. There isn't much there but that is what makes it so beautiful.
We walked along the beach holding hands just enjoying the peacefulness. Ahhhhh.... so nice.
Watched the crazy surfers.
And seriously just enjoyed ourselves.
       Beautiful sunset.
Then we ended the night eating at Casanova's.
Our friends told us about this place and we were not disappointed. It is know as "Carmel's most Romantic Restaurant." It was such a cute place.

 Half Moon Bay
We ended our Getaway here. We walked into this restaurant because we thought it looked fun and it was packed. They asked us if we had reservations? "Umm, nope." Luckily someone was finishing up and we scored an amazing table. The food was delicious and the view was perfect.

Spencer eating his seafood omelet. He said it was amazing, but I don't know... I didn't dare try it.
  Beautiful beaches.
Thanks for the wonderful Getaway Spencer. It was so nice to have you all to myself. I love you!

Happy B-day Kelan!

 Early Birthday Celebration
We celebrated Kelan's birthday on Saturday because Spencer was going to be on call on his birthday. It was a good thing we did since Spence only made it home for an hour that day. We let Kelan pick all our activities for his birthday. He said he wanted to do everything Beckham did and that is what we did.
Went to the Lego Store.
Found an awesome Ninjago lego set.
Built his lego set with dad.
Went to Build A Bear and picked out an outfit for his bear.
Instead of Chuck E Cheese we went to Super Franks. It was really fun but a little pricy and I think the boys prefer Chuck E Cheese.
They have a ton of play rooms with all different kinds of activities. Crews favorite thing was this little car.
Popping bubbles with Super Frank Puppy.
 Rolling around.
This was Beckham and Kelans favorite room. It had a foam pit and bounce house and these fun circles to roll around in.
The reason I say Chuck E Cheese is better for these boys is because all they really wanted to do was go to the game room. Oh well it was fun to try out a new place.
They loved it!

Happy Birthday Kelan!
I can't believe Kelan is 6. He is getting so big! Kelan is such a sweet loving boy. He has such a big heart. Any time he hurts someone it makes him really sad. He starts to cry or tries really hard to hold it back. I love this sweet little boy. Kelan is loving school and is getting so smart. He is becoming such a good little reader. He loves math! He asks to do his math homework as soon as he gets home. Takes after his Papa. He is such a good big brother. He is my happy helper. He is such a great example for his little brothers. He loves playing baseball, racing, video games, and legos. We sure love our sweet Kelly Belly.

Kelan woke up to a room full of balloons. Since Crews birthday is a week before Kelan's we just hung onto the balloons. I felt bad because it made it not as special. I made him a little banner to make it a little more exciting. He loved it.
We got ready for school and headed down to the donut shop.
All Kelan wanted to do was hang out with his friends on his birthday. We went and picked up his friends after school and went and got some ice cream. Then they came back to our house and we played nerf guns, hide and seek, ninja spinners and the Kinect.
For some reason Kelan wanted to have a Pokemon cake? It kind of looks like an Easter bunny. Hahaha. I tried. Kelan still thought it was "kinda cool". He was being nice.
Love you Kelan!

Tee Ball

Opening Day
We finally signed Kelan up for Tee Ball and he loves it! Him and Beckham love practicing in the backyard together. Kelan loves going to practice every week. He especially loves playing in his games, although he was a little surprised with how long they are. He loves everything about it!

Kelan is getting so big and so handsome.
Look at these two. Crew is Kelans little twin. They look so much alike. Same smile and everything.
 Mr. Crazy pants.
Hanging out while we wait and wait and wait for Kelans team.
 Kelans team waiting patiently.
 He loves his daddy.
 Drawing pictures in the dirt.
Waiting in the dugout for their turn.
#8 is Lucas and he thinks Kelan is really cool. He always wants to stand by Kelan.
They called out Kelans nickname. Kelan made it up all by himself... Speedy. So cute.

First Game
Kelan had his first game and he did such a great job. He hit every ball the first time he tried and he caught a lot of balls. He came up and asked me half way through "Is it over?", Nope! As the game went on it was funny to see the kids slowly fading and losing interest. The game was very entertaining to watch. We're so proud of our Kelly Belly a.k.a. Speedy.

Kelan is the tallest kid on his team so I think they all think Kelan is really cool because he is the "Big Kid".
 Good Hit!

Beginning of the game... so focused.
End of the game... struggling. Hahaha.
 Go Speedy.
 Good throw.
Crew hanging onto Kelans helmet.
Beckham loves watching Kelan play.
Go A's!
