Crazy Times

We are all a little exhausted around here, haha! Who's idea was it to throw a fourth kid in the mix anyway!? Chase has definitely been my most needy baby, perfect timing, why not save the needy one for while we are in residency. It's a good thing he is so sweet and we all love him so much. He pretty much needs to be held 24/7 and if he's not being held you need to make him feel like he is with pillows or blankets and he'll be alright for a while. His fussiest time of the day is at dinner time, of course, so we've been eating a lot of cereal for dinner lately. The other day my friend came over to say hi and visit for a while and I told her she couldn't leave, EVER, I just needed her to stay and hold Chase all day long so I could get something done. This little guy pretty much lives in his carrier, mostly while I'm making dinner or while we're at basketball practice or mutual... the list goes on. He loves to snuggle.
Luckily I've got lots of little helpers who also love to snuggle.
This kid has been spoiled and snoozes with me more than he probably should. I just can't resist that squishy face.

 Daddy can't resist him either.

We've been taking a break from looking presentable around here. Haha, Chase is the only one who gets to bathe now a days and the boys are always right there to help.
Sword fights almost always end in casualties around here. Poor Crew got whacked in the head with the PVC pipe sword, minus the foam. Woops, that's what happens when your mom's busy with a baby and not keeping the craziness under control. Poor Beckham felt really bad about it.
Kelan is a serious baby lover, just like his dad and a serious lifesaver. This kid is always doing so much to help me out and I don't know what I would do without him.
I woke up to feed Chase in the middle of the night and saw this. I'm not a fan of my kids sleeping in my bed so they always know to hop up on Dad's side. Spencer is always so good to snuggle them, this is the quality time they get with Dad during residency.
This is how we spend our mornings, snuggling, snuggling, snuggling.
I told Beckham and Crew they could stay up as late as they wanted. Party animals almost made it to 8:00, hahaha!
Even though life has been crazy around here we have been loving every second, well... maybe not every second, but we've been loving life and these boys sure make it fun.

Halloween Fun!

Half Moon Bay
So, life with four kids is a little crazy! Thank goodness Spencer has been on his plastic surgery rotation and has been around a ton and able to help out. We've been having lots of fun and the boys are adjusting to having another brother in the mix. Sweet Chase is still just snoozing all the time, which makes it really easy to go do fun things like this. Half Moon Bay has been one of our favorite spots since we've moved here. It is the cutest little beach town. Since Spencer's schedule was pretty light we decided to head over to Half Moon Bay for the afternoon. We went to Lemo's Pumpkin Patch and then headed to the beach for some clam chowder and hiking. We all had a great time, even Mr. Sleepy pants. It felt great to get out of the house and enjoy a day with our whole family.

The boys prefer McDonalds over clam chowder!?
You never know what you're going to get when you head to the beach, it turned outt o be a beautiful day.

Pumpkin carving
It took us a few days to get all of the pumpkins done. At this point in my life I kind of despise pumpkin carving. It's messy and time consuming and Spencer and I do the majority of the work. Can't we just do one family pumpkin, makes sense to me!? The things we do for our kids. Also, this is the only picture I got, seriously, I must've just had a baby or something. Why did we not get one of the finished product?
Halloween
We went to Visalia for Halloween this year since it was on a friday and the boys didn't have school and Spencer got off early (thank you plastic surgery rotation!).
For Halloween this year we had a police officer, robber, firefighter and a dalmatian puppy dog. These were the best pictures we got of the boys in their costumes. I wish we would've gotten one with all of them together, Chase was having a rough night so we decided to leave him alone.
Chase and his facial expressions are the funniest!
Mike and Der went all out and won the grand prize.
 The cute girlies.
 Annnd the tough boys.
 I love you Crew.
Kelan begged me to do the windows again this year. We did it and surprisingly Kelan did most of the work. He is such a good little artist.

Photo Shoot

I took a few pictures of Chase when he was only a few days old. I am so glad I did because they are just the sweetest thing. They aren't professional but they were free and they will do. We sure love this sweet little guy. It is so crazy how little their sweet little toes and fingers are. It is also so crazy how fast those little toes and fingers turn into big fingers and toes. It is sure fun having a fresh little baby again, especially one as sweet as Chase.

Welcome Home Chase

Chase has been such a good baby. As long as he is being held he will snooze all day long, the problem is, this makes for a very long night! This baby seriously loves to snuggle. Adjusting to four has been fine, as long as Spence and my mom never leave.  It's funny how easily you forget how exhausting babies are. There was one day I fed Chase then handed him off to Spence and said goodnight at 10 in the morning, put my earplugs in and snoozed for a good 3 hours. Being sleep deprived is worth it, we love being able to call this little guy ours.
 In Grandma's arms.
 In Daddy's arms.
 In Mommy's arms.
 In Daddy's arms.
 In Crewzers arms.
 In Beckham's arms...
 and again.
Chase you are so spoiled and never get set down. We all want a turn holding you. We love you so much!

He's here!!

Chase Ryan Anderson
8lbs 4oz and 20 inches long
He is the sweetest thing and we are all so in love with him already. Everything we perfect with delivering him. We went to my Dr's apt that morning and I asked if I could be induced since I was now 39 weeks, they said NO. What!? This was different from all my doctors in the past and I was really stressing about accidentally having him at home, since Crew came so fast! I was also worried about getting to the hospital on my own if Spencer wasn't around. My doctor stripped my membranes and said I was already at a 3, and told me if I had any contractions, consistent or not to just go in and they wouldn't turn me away. I called my mom and told her we were going to have this baby tonight since I had already been having contraction that morning. She got to our house that evening and told Spence and I to go on a date. We went and got some spicy thai food and that did the trick. We got home and put the boys in bed and my contractions totally stopped. What, NO!? So we put on a show and fell asleep. The contractions started back up around midnight so we decide to head to the hospital. On the way to the hospital they stopped again, NO! I thought for sure they were going to send us home. They let us stay!! It was crazy how smooth and fast it went once we got checked in. Once we were checked in they asked when I wanted the epidural and I said as soon as possible. My contractions weren't bugging me at all but I was so worried I wouldn't get it if this labor was as quick as the last. I am so glad I did that because from the time I got the epidural to when I had Chase it was less than 2 hours. Thank goodness he came fast because when he came out his cord wan in a true knot and wrapped around his neck. That's why he is so purple in this picture. All of the nurses came over to see it because they couldn't believe it was a true knot, it's pretty rare. Sweet Chase made it here and he is doing great! Having a baby is such a blessing and miracle, I am so grateful to my Heavenly Father for allowing me to have four healthy beautiful baby boys. Life is beautiful and we are so blessed.
 Fresh babies are the best.
 These brudders love him already.

Yikes, that's a lot of kids!
This kid is such a snuggler already.
How can you resist those sweet chubby cheeks!?
Daddy can't resist this sweet baby.

We love you so much Chase, welcome to the family.

First & Last

First Day of School
Kelan is getting so big!! He is officially a second grader. He gets to be in Ms. Yosts class, the brand new teacher to the school and also brand new teacher to teaching, she's fresh out of college. She's pretty cute and I think Kelan might have a little crush on her, hahaha! Kelan loves going back to school, by the end of the summer he is a little bored and ready to get back to he friends and learning.

Kelan and our cute little neighbor Krista.
Beckham's first day of "real" preschool. He was so excited to do something a little different this year, in the past we've done joy school. He was ready for something a little more structured. His teacher is Mrs. Karen and she is actually from our church, she's the cutest and nicest teacher, all the kids love her.
Beckham was so excited that him and his best buddy Brant got to be in the same class, so fun!

Last outings as a family of 5
Spencer is on his plastic surgery rotation, which is perfect since we are having a baby any day now. He gets to work when the plastic surgeons work, which is rarely. We have been getting lots of things done and ready befor when we have this baby. Somehow I talked Spencer into going with us to "Talk like a Pirate day" at Krispy Kremes. It was so fun and delicious!
Normally they give you one dozen for every person dressed like a pirate, this time they only gave us one, it was probably better for all of our waistlines.
Last time at church with just three kids. Sweet Crew is so excited for this baby to get here, we all kinda are! He is going to be one very loved baby brother. I still can't believe we are going to have 4 boys. Ready or not here he comes.
