A much needed update...

We are still alive!!! We made it to Omaha safe and sound, thanks to Robert and Robyn and there amazing moving skills. We are still not completely settled into our place but we are slowly getting there. It has been a lot of work... I promise I will post pictures soon. We have also been busy with trips to the zoo, ballpark and of course California.

Spencer is staying super busy with school and we never get to see him... NOT! For those of you who know Spencer know that he studies at the last minute and only if it is absolutely necessary. This works out great for me and Kelan.

We made it to Winter Quarters. The temple is amazing.

The Baseball College World Series was in town this past week so we were able to make it to a few games.

At this game it was about 107 degrees, so me and Kelan only made it until the 3rd inning. Spencer of course stuck it out the whole time. That's a true baseball fan for you.

We live a few blocks from the stadium and the zoo. Every Friday night we can see and hear the fireworks and every week we take a trip to the zoo. Kelan loves it.

Can you find Kelan? He blends in so well wit the other monkeys.

This is by far Kelan's favorite part about the zoo. The choo choo ride.

Last but not least our trip to California.

All the boys patiently waiting for Aunt Meagan to get off the plane.

Aunt Meagan meeting Brayden for the first time.

Welcome Home Hermana Hawkes!! We love you and are so proud of you.

Mother's Day Weekend

We had a fun weekend filled with lots of food and outside activities. Those of you who have lived in Idaho know that the weather here is HoRriBLe. We were so excited to finally have a nice weekend. It has been 50 or 60 degree weather with 30 mile per hour winds. Okay so I may be exaggerating a little but not much. Thank goodness for the nice weather, it was the best mothers day gift ever. We definitely had to take advantage...
Kelan and Spence mowing the lawn... Kelan loves helping Spencer mow the lawn. He really thinks he is helping. He follows Spence wherever he goes.

We had dutch oven potatoes, chicken and cobbler... DeliCiouS!!

Okay so we might have eaten s'mores also... I wasn't kidding when I said we ate all weekend long.

Ohhhh soooo good!

Ummm... T.J. and Spence are obviously slacking on the job. Where did the fire go?

Good Old B-tizzle...

Well our stay here in Blackfoot is coming to an end. Spencer is finishing up his first year of Dental School at I.S.U. (Woo hoo way to go bud) and then we will be off to Omaha... time has sure flown by. We have had a lot of fun hanging out with Spencer's family and we are sure going to miss them. Kelan is going to go into shock when we move and he no longer has Grandparents and Aunties to spoil him rotten.

So if you were ever wondering what Blackfoot has to offer... here it is.

The awesome old school "Choo Choo". Kelan loved it.

I'm not sure what this is... but I do know that they use it for potatoes.

Kelan and his sweet Lightning McQueen sunglasses.

Yuck!!!

Kelan is our little dare devil... not really but he is really good at getting hurt. Last night we were all hanging out and Kelan was cruising around on his little car and decided to pop a wheelie. He hit his head pretty good on the edge of Spencer's parents fire place. Let me remind you that this is the second time he has split his head open on that DaRn fire place. At least this time it was on the back so he won't have two huge scares on his forehead. The bad thing was that they had to staple his head because glue won't get the job done with his long hair. As Kelan says it is YUCK!

I took this picture while he was sleeping because we don't want him to know the staples are there. Last time when they glued his head he picked it off in a day. We definitely don't want him picking these staples out... ugghh sick!

He is feeling much better... hopefully we can avoid another incident with the fireplace. I think if it happens again they might call Child Protective Services on us.

Hoppy Easter!!

Easter was great and we all had so much fun. We went to an Easter egg hunt on Saturday at the church. It was so fun watching Kelan get so excited about all the eggs. We hung out with Spencer's whole family on Sunday and enjoyed the Anderson annual Easter egg hunt. This year T.J. was the champ with finding a whopping 55 eggs and I came in second with 48 eggs... close but no cigar.
It isn't Easter unless you dye eggs...

We got Kelan a new mechanical tooth brush and he loved it. I think at one point he had a piece of candy in one hand and his tooth brush in the other with both shoved in his mouth.

Aunt Ansley and Kelan showing off their colored tongues and grandpa showing off his new hat.
Kelan's aunties and there sweet Easter finds. Kelan is focusing on getting his open.
Kelan looking for eggs, he still isn't big enough to run with the big kids. He had his own little Easter egg hunt.
Kelan and Spencer trying to fly his new Car's kite. It was hilarious watching Spencer get so frustrated with Kelan. All Kelan wanted to do was pull the tail down while Spencer was trying to get it up.

Hippity Hoppity Easter, hope everyone had a good one!

Spring Break in N.Y.C.

For Spencer's Spring Break we made it out to New York to visit with Stephen and Afton and tute little Baby Brooks. He is one cute kid... It was fun to hang out and see all the sites with the best tour guide a.k.a. Afton. It was a fun and exhausting week running after our wonderful 2 year old all week long. I think we pretty much covered all there is to see in New York City.

Brooks Baby Blessing

It was so fun being there for Brooks blessing, Stephen did a great job! Stephen and Afton are such cute parents. We all love that little guy, especially Kelan. Kelan loved kissing Brooks he couldn't get in enough kisses.

Liberty Park

We went to Liberty Park in New Jersey. It was FrEEziNg!!! It was fun to see the city all lit up at night. It is amazing how many building they can fit in such a small amount of space. Kelan was so cold thank goodness. It helped keep him in his stroller.

Statue of Liberty

We went on the Ferry ride out to the Statue of Liberty. It was neat getting that close to the Statue. It is a lot bigger close up... Brooks pretty much slept the whole time we were visiting, Man can that kid sleep.

Natural History Museum
So if you have ever seen the Night at the museum with Ben Stiller this is where we were. Kelan loved all the "roars" a.k.a Dinosaurs. It is a huge museum and has so much to see. They closed before we were able to make it the whole way through.

Empire State Building

It was so fun going up on the top of the Empire State Building... it kind of made me sick it was so high. Looking down from the top you could barely see all the roads and cars. It was amazing looking out over New York.

Madison Square Garden

We even made it to a Knicks game. It was funny to see how into their fans get. It was a good game against the L.A. Clipper. The Knicks lost but it was a very close game and very intense.

Mystic Aquarium

The Mystic Aquarium was so fun. There were tons of fishies and water animals. We went to the sea lion show, it's crazy how they can train the animals.
