It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas!

Christmas time is Spencer's and now I think Kelan's favorite time of the year. Spencer gets so excited for the decorations, shopping, present wrapping... pretty much the whole bit. Spencer made us put up our decorations early this year. We did it the week before Thanksgiving but I was a little to embarrassed to post the pictures that early. Bottom line my Boys LOVE Christmas!!!

Spencer and Kelan putting the tree together.

Kelan strategically placing every ornament on the tree... all on the same branch.

The next morning Kelan came running into our room and said "Mama Christmas downstairs!!" every morning the first thing he does is plug in the Christmas lights.

The wreath that I decorated.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it Snow...
I have always asked everyone about the winters here and they all have said it doesn't snow much. They say it is freezing but it is mostly ice... they were wrong this year. For two days straight it snowed and snowed and snowed. I think we got about 12 inches of snow. They cancelled school and closed the doors of many businesses.

Kelan loves to go out in the snow to play for about a minute before he says "burrr it's cold, go inside please!"

This is Monday morning... look at Kelan's car.

This is Tuesday... where did Kelan's car go?

Gingerbread Houses
This would have to be one of my favorite traditions. It was fun doing it with friends who share the love of gingerbread house making this year.

Say cheese and Kelan will automatically close those darn eye's.

This was Kelan's contribution to the gingerbread house making... cleaning up all the frosting and candy.

Pure yumminess!

Santa Clause came to town!
Kelan absolutely Loved Santa this year. He was talking about going to Santa's house for days and days. We finally did it on Friday after Spencer's Finals. We went to Bass Pro Shop and they had the cutest set up ever. Best of all you got a free 4x6 picture with Santa and his reindeer. Kelan got to sit on Santa's lap 3 times because of technical difficulties with the camera and he loved it.

Kelan cheesing it up with Santa.

Me and Kelan hanging out with Frosty at the North Pole.

They had a little table to write Santa a letter and a mailbox to put it in. Kelan and Spencer are thinking so hard about what they want for Christmas.

One of Kelan's favorite parts... the choo choo's.

What are YOU thankful for?

For Thanksgiving we were able to make it home to California. It was nice to spend a little time with my family and enjoy the nice weather. I think that would definitely have to make it onto the list of things I am thankful for. *CaLiForNiA WeAthEr! While we were there Kelan was able to party it up with his cousins. He loved following Mikey and William around everywhere they went. We played lots of games, went to the Christmas Parade, the park, Adventure Park, and of course hit up the Black Friday deals. It was fun to get away and spend some time with family... we miss you guys already.

This picture pretty much sums up our week... Brayden was sick and sad most the week. Kelan sat back and enjoyed the show until he figured out how boys play. Mikey and William were the life of the party. I am thankful for NePhEwS who keep life interesting!

Cute little William in his big boy undies.

Kelan and Michael speed racin.

The Christmas parade. The horses were Kelan's favorite part.

Kelan and Grandpa relaxing. I am thankful for GRaNdPareNtS and PaReNts who love you.

Me, Stevo and Meg. I am grateful for SiBLinGs who are always there for you.

Kelan's new favorite thing to do... make a sad face. Mikey taught him how to do this and Kelan thinks it is pretty funny. I am thankful for my KiDS who make me laugh... yes Spencer is considered one of my kids.

Our attempt at a family picture. Obviously none of us are used to seeing the sun so nice and bright. We are all struggling to keep our eyes open. I am so Thankful for a LOvInG HuSbAnD who takes care of us.

Halloween Part-A-ying!!!

The holidays just get better and better with kids. Kelan had so much fun this Halloween and we had fun partying it up with him too. He got to wear his outfit all week long and loved it. We will see how it goes next week when I won't let him wear it everyday. I might be one of those parents with a kid in the store in their Halloween costume the week after. (Embarrassing but part of being a parent I guess)

Trick or Treating at the Dental school

Kelan and Joe with their Daddy's

Kelan loved Trick or Treating with his dad at school. Now every time we drive by Creighton Kelan say's "Daddy's school". He loves Daddy's school, I think he thinks Daddy eats candy and plays at school all day.

Trunk or Treating
(or just trunking)

This wasn't Kelan's favorite as you can tell by the big tears. He was WAY to cold, I would have to agree with him. He kept saying lets go in car please.

Pumpkin carving

The boys doing all the work and the girls cheering them on. They love it!!! Kelan was such a good helper with his butter knife.

Josh and Dana's won the SpOoKIest, Zack and Katie's won the CLeVeREst, and ours won the HapPiEst. Good job boys.

Trick -O- Treating @ Village Green

Woody and Tinkerbell getting pumped to go trick or treating. These two were pro's.

Kelan and Dad passing out candy.

Our next door neighbor/Kelan's secret GF. Dana and Josh were known as the Jackpot house with the king size candy bars and treats. They don't mess around when it comes to Halloween.

After a while it came to this... me carrying Kelan around. Me prego + 30 lbs kid= a no go on the trick or treating. We were both done...

I think this is way more candy than a 2 year old needs.
(P.S. notice Kelan's eyes, this is what happens when you ask him to smile or say cheese, Why?... I don't know but it cracks me up. He's our little weirdo.)

F.H.E. @ the Pumpkin Patch...

It was a first for all of us... and we all LOVED it! We thought we would go to the pumpkin patch and look for the best pumpkin ever... that was the last thing on our minds. This pumpkin patch was amazing!!! It was more like a pumpkin patch theme park. Kelan loved it all!

Kelan was a little worried at first by everything that was going on... especially the LaRGe chair.

He loved taking pictures in all the cut outs... Every time we would walk by one he would run up to it and say CHeeSe!

They had tons of animals all over the place... goats, camels, bunnies, donkeys... the list goes on and on. Kelan loved them all.

This slide was a little too intense for me but Kelan and Spence had fun.

This is the pumpkin launching show. They shot pumpkins from sling shots, cannons, and this huge air gun.

Luckily they let these trouble makers keep their heads.

One of Kelan's favorite parts was the Choo Choo ride.

This is the map they give you when you go in because there is so much to do. We didn't plan to well this year because we didn't realize it was this hard core. Next year we will go on a week that Spencer doesn't have 4 tests so we can stay longer.

If you're ever in Omaha around Halloween time you will have to come to the Pumpkin Patch with us. It was a blast! Definitely an Omaha tradition for us.

28 Weeks
28 down and a whole lot more to go...
