Kelan is our little dare devil... not really but he is really good at getting hurt. Last night we were all hanging out and Kelan was cruising around on his little car and decided to pop a wheelie. He hit his head pretty good on the edge of Spencer's parents fire place. Let me remind you that this is the second time he has split his head open on that DaRn fire place. At least this time it was on the back so he won't have two huge scares on his forehead. The bad thing was that they had to staple his head because glue won't get the job done with his long hair. As Kelan says it is YUCK!
I took this picture while he was sleeping because we don't want him to know the staples are there. Last time when they glued his head he picked it off in a day. We definitely don't want him picking these staples out... ugghh sick!
He is feeling much better... hopefully we can avoid another incident with the fireplace. I think if it happens again they might call Child Protective Services on us.

So sad.....poor little guy! I am so amazed that children survive with how many accidents that happen daily!!
oh man. i feel for ya. i can't imagine what i would do. i mean, i know i'd take him to the ER, but how frustrating. my mom and her husband built a house last year and the retards built a brick fireplace with nasty sharp edges. i always get freaked out when we go over there. now they're building entertainment shelves with glass shelving. whatever. you're good to let the boy be a boy. i'm probably a little too protective of isaac...
Poor kid! I can't believe he had to get staples...ouch! He seems like a pretty brave kid though...he probably took it like a champ :)
Poor Kelan!!! I think I would be a wreck if something like that happened...I'm so glad he is okay(I mean overll) and hopefully he doesn't pick at his staples!! Good luck keeping him busy with other things!
