BOO on Continental Airlines!!!

So why am I saying BOO on Continental... because they are awful! They are the worst and I will never fly with them again. Okay so this is a random blog post but I want everyone to know how awful they are. We were supposed to fly out to New York this weekend for Baby Zoey's baby blessing. Did we make it? NO... why not? Because of darn Continental Airlines. Did Tina (Afton's mom) make it the same time we were supposed to be flying in? Yes! Why... because of awesome Delta.
Things I am angry about...
1. The lady was so rude to us and told us she would not refund our money because the cancellation was weather related.
2. The fact that she switched our flight from a 3 hour direct flight to a 12 hour travel ALL day down to Houston then up to New York flight.
3. They were not going to compensate us even though they could no longer get us there direct.
4. Our already short trip was cut a day shorter and the rude lady didn't make it any better.
5. There is no number to call to talk to someone about the situation you just have to write an e-mail and of course you never hear back.
So we show up to the airport with all of our bags packed ready to go and the lady tells us that our flight has been cancelled and that they won't refund us because it was weather related. She said the best she could do was get us there the next evening by flying us down to Houston then over to New York. What? This is no longer a quick trip it is an all day of travel to be there for a day and come home the next. Are they going to do anything since they no longer have room for us on a direct flight the next day... No! It's not their fault because it is weather related... so that means it is my fault because of darn Hurricane Earl. So we left the airport and got back into our car and not the airplane. Kelan was kicking and screaming... it didn't help that he was desperately needing nap. We were all pretty bummed that we missed out on such an important weekend. We can't wait to see baby Zoey at Thanksgiving time... don't grow up to fast. Sorry we missed it.

SoOOo Sad

i think you should write their corporate office a complaint telling them everything you posted here. you'd be surprised at how often companies will make things like this right if you take it to the top, and even more so if you take the time to write them a letter.
